​Lillie is a sweet, retired nanny that runs a boarding house with one resident and her cat. She has two friends, Carmella and Jocelyn who help her pass the time. Then Stuart, a former charge of hers rents a room with the intent of robbing the bank on the corner. Stu is taken by Betty who unfortunately is engaged to Teddy. When he finds out Betty will be graduating on the same night of his planned robbery an alibi presents itself. Perfect, thinks Little Pat, Stuart's wise-cracking sidekick. Unfortunately for the two would-be crooks, the graduation is at a police academy. Throw in the Chief of Police, and a little brat with a criminal bent anything could happen.
