Little Schoolhouse – Linda Norden
The Little Schoolhouse located on 1898 Brandon Ave. off of 5th street was first established in 1898. Since then, the one room schoolhouse has served as a classroom until 1908 - and since then has been used to accommodate a variety of different events and activities. For the past 10 years, the Peachland Little Schoolhouse Society has hosted their Summers Arts Program during the months of July and August sponsored by the Peachland Community Arts Council. Additionally, the Little Schoolhouse has hosted annual Cream Teas, and during the fall and winter, the Peachland Community Arts Council sponsors a series of adult workshops in the Little Schoolhouse as well.
With the exception of July and August, the Peachland Little Schoolhouse is available, for local groups to rent the facility for meetings, retreats, some sport activities (karate, yoga, dance), cultural events (workshops, small exhibits), as well as small private and company parties and weddings.
