Ex-Factor Abstracts - Explain, Explore, Excite, Experiment, Extract, Exhibit
For beginners or those with some abstract experience.
Dates: Wednesdays, Feb. 8th, 15th & 22nd 2023

Purpose
“Ex-Factor Abstracts” is a series of workshops to explore ways to add, move, and remove acrylic paint on a surface; to expand your confidence in painting where there are no lines or pictures to follow; to experiment with a range of media and tools; to examine abstract art with fresh eyes; and to express your creative self in a supportive environment. It is designed to be immersive, interactive, and fun.
Who should attend
Anyone who may have thought they “can’t paint an abstract”; has limited or no experience with abstract painting and wants to try a new type of painting; OR those with abstract experience and want to explore with other like-minded artists.

July 9 - 12 - Three artists from Roberta’s “Passion 4 Art” group invited you to visit and watch them work. The school has a new hanging system and has been newly painted.

August 19 to 24: Robert Jenkins & Sandra Kessler
For a peek at Art in Times of COVID drop in to the Peachland Little Schoolhouse on Brandon Lane this week from 10 am to 4 pm on Thursday, August 19 to 24 to view the works of West Kelowna artists Robert Jenkins and Sandra Kessler.
Jenkins is a pastel artist who paints the abandoned mine sites and landscapes of rural B.C.. Kessler works with mixed media, creating lovely, soft renderings. The two artists have been long-time supporters of the Summer Arts Program. |
August 26 to 29: Darlene Romanko - The Artist Within
The Summer Arts Program will finish this week with a series of one-day workshops with Darlene Romanko. Daily Wed to Saturday, 11 – 3 pm, these workshops, are about finding , trusting, and nurturing “The Artist Within” through meditation and creation.
