The Shape of Freedom - Opening Reception

September 11 - WOW! what a fantastic opening September 5th for this immersive and thought provoking exhibition by artist Banu Tulumen.

Through themes of Rupture, Resistance, Becoming, Flight and Rest, Banu’s powerful work encourages us to slow down, reflect and find our own meaning in each piece. Banu’s conversations throughout the opening gave visitors a wonderful opportunity to connect with the ideas and stories behind the work.

Congratulations to all for such an amazing job organizing and designing and helping with this great show!  We had just 86 attend the opening, 4 sales Banu was so happy with the day.  Tristan, who is Banu’s art director at Lear House in Penticton, was full of compliments on our professional showing. He was shocked to hear we run with only volunteers!  So many compliments came our way.
