A Creative Comeback: The Pleasant Pear Collective Artists at the Gallery

COMMON GROUND—Where Friendship & Creativity Meet

More than a display of art, this is a celebration of relationships that fuel creativity. Common Ground highlights how artists inspire one another, exchange ideas, and find strength in creative fellowship. Through visual storytelling, the exhibition invites viewers to find their own “common ground” with the artists, the artworks and one another.

This summer, our annual Artists in Studio was interrupted when a scheduled painting group had to cancel its display due to the Bald Range wildfire in August. We’re delighted to welcome the group back to Peachland Art Gallery this November, giving them the opportunity to share their work with our visitors.

The Pleasant Pear Collective are a lively group of 11 artists based in Kelowna, bringing together a wonderful variety of artistic styles, mediums and subject matter. Their exhibition runs from November 14–29th, and promises to offer something for everyone to enjoy.

Visitors will have the added pleasure of seeing the artists at work, with three or four members of the group painting in the gallery each week. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists, learn more about their creative processes and enjoy the inspiration that comes from watching art take shape.

Why not drop in, say hello and discover the creativity of this talented group?

Meet the Artists - Lorraine Betts, Maureen Carefoot, Beverley Chicoine, Kathy Hale, Barb Hanington AFCA, Angie Kirschner, Delora Lalande, Rod McAuley, Diana Palmer, Garry Toop and Lynn Tribe.

Following The Pleasant Pear Collective exhibition, our popular annual Artists of the Okanagan exhibition will open on December 5, 2026, and continue through to January 21, 2027. We look forward to welcoming you to the gallery for another season of inspiring local art.
