Kerry Rawlinson is a mental nomad & bloody-minded optimist originally from Zambia. Following a career in Architectural Technology, she pursued poetry—with addictions to flash-fiction and photo-art—and has been published in over 200 literary magazines or websites. Her work tiptoes barefoot through dislocation & belonging, studying the systems humanity creates, individually and collectively, and their repercussions.
Recently Kerry won the Welsh Poetry Prize for her poem "Kokanee, Spawning". Further poetry awards include: New Millennium Writings; Princemere and Canterbury Poetry Prizes; and placement in others, e.g: Bournemouth; Wells Open; CV2 2-day Contest; Bridport, Palette; National Poetry Society and more. Most recent magazine or litzine publications include: Quadrant Magazine; National Poetry Society; Three Line Poetry; Canadian Literature; Absynthe; SoFoPoJo Special Section. Kerry’s accolades in fiction include winning the Glittery Literary and Edinburgh International Flash Contests and placing elsewhere, eg. Gemini. Recently published are pieces in: For a Breath I Tarry Anthology; Sunlight Press; Centifictionist, and Lunate, amongst others.
