It was a grand day!  Every year the arts council puts on a special Canada Day children's t-shirt painting event in Heritage Park.  Last year we set a record number of t-shirts given out and painted at 150.  Well, this year we surpassed that and went through 200 t-shirts in an hour and a half!  Many thanks to Deb, Vicki, Paula and Annmarie for their help in organizing this fun event. Here are some photos of kids hard at work creating a shirt to take home.  ​

Every year these talented artists come up with a new creative idea for the Canada Day cake.  We've featured Ogopogo, a moose and a beaver, many, many maple leaves and this year we used "Canadiana" themed gummies for the kids.  From left to right, Dian Tompkin, Deb Livingstone and Phyllis Papineau.
