August 29 to September 1 – (11 AM to 4 PM)

Artists:    The Acrylics of Chris Millar and Chris Lefaivre

This is the final week of the Summer Arts Program in the Little Schoolhouse.  Chris Millar and Chris Lefaivre, both acrylic artists, will cover a wide variety of subjects with their work.  C Millar is a long-time member of the Peachland Art Group, and C Lefaivre is a new member of the “Passion 4 Art” group. It should be an interesting exhibit.

The acrylics of Chris Lefaivre:

Christine (Chris) Lefaivre is a resident of Peachland, our picturesque hamlet in the heart of wine country. She was born in Calgary, and attended the University of Alberta, Canada. She is the great granddaughter of Hungarian artist Gyula Istvanffy and daughter of Canadian artist Marjorie (Ditto) Lefaivre who studied under A.Y. Jackson of the group of seven.

Chris has been awarded international critical acclaim for her ground-breaking textbook and work with the traumatically brain injured.

In her leisure time she follows in the footsteps of her ancestors and puts brush to canvas. She enjoys working in acrylic and is inspired by nature.
