The  “nishikigoi ” or “Simply Koi” will be a Gallery of multi media paintings that includes 8 Workshop sessions to choose from, using rice paper, ink and watercolours.  This summer experience is presented by Wayne Power in the Peachland Little Schoolhouse August 16th to 20th 2017.
The koifish is a colourful, domesticated carp creature, raised and revered by the Japanese. Each coloration, patterning, and escalation of the major colours of white, black, red, yellow, blue, and cream have been affectionately named as family and commercial “pets”. Even personalities have been noted with these koi.
Come and be a part of “Simply Koi”, to create your own painting with Wayne. You will learn water colour and ink techniques, and interesting information about this colourful carp, genetically bred in captivity.
All art material is provided for use during the sessions. Morning and afternoon sessions are timetabled for 2 hours each and everyday, Wednesday to Saturday.
Sign up for your times to assure a place to simply enjoy Koi.
